Thompson Thrift's Wrenly Project to Address Housing Demand in Atlanta's Burgeoning Newnan Suburb

Thompson Thrift, a nationally recognized full-service real estate company and one of the nation's premier multifamily developers, is making a significant stride into the Atlanta suburban market with its latest venture, Wrenly. Nestled in Newnan, this 214-unit multifamily community is set to address the housing demand in Coweta County, where robust population growth has outpaced multifamily developments over the past decade.

According to the narrative from Thompson Thrift, they anticipate opening their doors to the first residents of Wrenly in April 2027, with construction expected to wrap up shortly after, in 2028. The guiding principles in the entitlement process underscore Coweta County's commitment to thoughtful planning that aligns with community priorities. Josh Purvis, Thompson Thrift Residential's managing partner, expressed confidence in their project and its alignment with the county's vision, "We're honored that our collaborative approach earned the trust and support needed to move this development forward," said Purvis. "We are excited for Wrenly to deliver high-quality, luxury housing that supports the continued growth and momentum of the Newnan community."

The strategic location at the northeast corner of Newnan Crossing Boulevard and Newnan Crossing Court positions Wrenly amid key economic pillars like Piedmont Newnan Hospital, Yamaha Motor Manufacturing, and an upcoming U.S. Soccer National Training Center. These nearby investments signify a thriving economic landscape with potential job creation and demand for upscale housing, which Wrenly aims to satisfy with its designer homes offering an average of 1,000 square feet and luxury amenities such as granite countertops, stainless-steel appliances, and hardwood-style flooring.

Beyond the impressive interiors, Wrenly's promise of resort-style living is evident through its comprehensive amenities, which include a 24-hour fitness center, swimming pool with waterfall, firepit seating areas, and more. For residents who balance remote work with daily living, the resident business center with its focus suite offers the perfect blend of convenience and professionalism.

As Coweta County grapples with its multifamily housing deficit — with deliveries over the past ten years amounting to a mere 1.4% of Atlanta’s overall multifamily offerings — Wrenly represents a watershed moment for the area. With a 21% increase in population over the past 15 years and an additional 5.6% growth anticipated in the next five years, the timing for Wrenly couldn't be more pertinent.

The foresight exemplified by Thompson Thrift's latest development is a clarion call for investors and developers to heed the shifting dynamics of suburban markets. As the traditional urban cores continue to saturate, the draw towards suburban luxury living, where communities like Wrenly offer a serene yet well-connected lifestyle, becomes unmistakably evident. With an eye on the future, developments such as Wrenly are not just responding to present demands but shaping the landscape for tomorrow's lifestyles.
