Thompson Thrift Launches The Union at Fishers District: A New Vision of Luxury Living and Commerce

Thompson Thrift, a significant player in the real estate sector, has reached a milestone in Fishers, an Indianapolis suburb, by initiating the construction of The Union at Fishers District. This multifarious development project promises to enhance the fabric of one of Indiana's fastest-growing cities with its blend of luxury residences, engaging retail and office spaces, and the pioneer AC Hotel by Marriott.

Fishers District has long been recognized as Thompson Thrift’s vision, which is now closer to fruition with The Union being the final phase. The president and chief financial officer at Thompson Thrift Development, Dan Sink, encapsulated the essence of the development: "This final phase brings together our deep expertise in construction, residential, and commercial development to deliver a vibrant, high-quality destination that will serve the community for years to come." His statement underscores the company’s commitment to blending expertise across different spheres for community development.

The commercial component of The Union, anticipated for completion in late 2026, is poised to inject 57,000 square feet of new energy into the social sphere with a mix of retail, restaurants, and entertainment options. Meanwhile, office entities searching for a cutting-edge, amenity-rich workspace may find their aspirations met by the development's contemporary Class A office provision.

Efforts to cultivate a congenial community atmosphere resonate in features like the central event plaza, that provides an inviting hub for social interaction, and The Union Flats, Thompson Thrift’s upscale multifamily community. The appeal of The Union Flats lies not just in its strategic location above the retail heart of the district, but also in the copious modern amenities that beckon prospective residents.

The Union’s residential allure is amplified by 251 modern apartment homes, equipped with an imposing list of luxurious inclusions known to Thompson Thrift communities. Josh Purvis, managing partner for Thompson Thrift Residential, encapsulates the vision: "With thoughtfully designed apartment homes and resort-style amenities just steps away from restaurants, shopping and entertainment, we're creating a community where convenience and lifestyle come together."

Fishers' Mayor, Scott Fadness, identifies The Union at Fishers District as emblematic of the city’s values, asserting that the development will significantly enrich residents' and visitors' lives with its walkable layout and comprehensive amenities.

As the final phase of the Fishers District unfolds, it aims to tie together the various strands of luxury living with community vibrancy, undergirding the notion that multifamily and commercial developments are not merely about buildings, but about fostering cohesive environments for living, working, and leisure. Thompson Thrift's $750 million investment is a testament to its nearly four-decade-long commitment to community-building and high-quality project execution throughout the Midwest, Southeast, and Southwest regions.
