Thompson Thrift Opens 276-Unit Switch Apartments in Colorado Springs

Thompson Thrift recently hosted a ribbon cutting celebration for Switch, a 276-unit Class A multifamily community in Colorado Springs. The property is located within the Polaris Pointe development.

The community sits on approximately 11 acres at the intersection of Voyager Parkway and North Gate Blvd. According to the company, the location provides connectivity to I-25 and access to area employers including the U.S. Air Force Academy, UCHealth Memorial Hospital North and Progressive Insurance.

Switch offers 276 apartment homes in 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom configurations. The company reports that apartment homes average 1,000 square feet and include stainless-steel appliances, glass-top ranges, hardwood-style flooring, walk-in showers, smart home capabilities and full-sized washers and dryers. Select units feature premium appliances, cabinetry with soft-close doors, a deluxe closet system with shelving and garage options.

Community amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, heated swimming pool, electric firepits, a billiards and shuffleboard area, bike storage and workshop, a dog park and pet spa, and a coffee bar. The property also provides a residence conference room with video conference technology, an outdoor entertainment kitchen, and community-wide Wi-Fi.

During the ribbon-cutting event, guests toured the clubhouse, model home and community amenities. Thompson Thrift presented a charitable donation to Dream Centers Mary's Home, a transitional housing program in Colorado Springs for single mothers and their children exiting homelessness.

Switch is located within the Polaris Pointe development, a 200-acre retail complex that includes the Ford Amphitheater, an 8,000-seat entertainment venue with a 45,000-square-foot restaurant and event center. Additional options at Polaris Pointe include Sprouts, Bass Pro Shops, Chick-fil-A, Topgolf, iFly, AirCity 360 and Overdrive Raceway.
