MG Properties Expands San Diego Presence With Acquisition Of Dylan Point Loma Apartments

MG Properties, a San Diego-based multifamily investment firm, has acquired Dylan Point Loma Apartments, a community in the Point Loma neighborhood of San Diego. The property is positioned within a sought-after coastal submarket and offers residents proximity to employment centers, beaches, dining, and entertainment.

Dylan Point Loma features oversized floorplans averaging 1,134 square feet and includes a garage for each unit. MG Properties intends to pursue targeted capital improvements and operational enhancements designed to elevate the property while preserving its neighborhood character. The transaction aligns with MG Properties' long-term strategy of investing in high-quality apartment communities across the West Coast.

"This acquisition represents a compelling opportunity to expand our footprint in San Diego, a submarket where our business first started," said Jeff Gleiberman, President of MG Properties. "Dylan Point Loma is well positioned to benefit from the area's strong fundamentals, and we look forward to enhancing the community while continuing to deliver an exceptional living experience for residents."

MG Properties manages a portfolio of more than 32,000 rental homes across 115 communities in California, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Texas, and Oregon. The firm emphasizes long-term ownership and hands-on asset management, and this transaction reinforces its continued activity in the San Diego market.

For operators and investors, the acquisition highlights a consistent industry approach: acquiring well-located assets with the potential for value-add through measured capital and operational initiatives. Preserving neighborhood character while improving resident experience is a priority that can support both community relations and asset performance over time.

Multifamily Leadership will continue to monitor significant transactions that reflect capital deployment, asset management strategy, and market confidence in key coastal submarkets.
