LMI and Landmark Forge New Path in Student Housing with The Mark Projects

Liberty Mutual Investments (LMI) and Landmark Properties recently announced their collaboration in the student housing sector, marking a strategic move that aligns with both entities' growth and investment objectives. This partnership has led to two joint ventures aimed at developing high-quality student housing projects at Pennsylvania State University and The University of Connecticut, earmarked as The Mark State College and The Mark Mansfield, respectively.

The Mark State College and The Mark Mansfield will provide a total of 1,255 new, purpose-built off-campus student housing beds. This move not only strengthens the portfolio of LMI, which already accounts for approximately 17,000 beds in premier student housing, but also speaks to the broadening appeal of student communities near large public universities. Financing for these impactful ventures was deftly arranged by TSB Capital Advisors.

The sites for these projects have been thoughtfully selected for their proximity to university campuses. The Mark State College, in particular, will be a 12-story structure offering students not just residence but an array of amenities designed to enhance and balance the rigors of academic commitments with well-rounded living experiences. Features like a rooftop pool and skydeck underscore LMI's commitment to delivering top-tier amenities. It is noteworthy that this project marks LMI's third investment within the Penn State market, affirming the group's confidence in the location.

Meanwhile, The Mark Mansfield is set to offer 740 beds in a market that has been demand-heavy yet supply-constrained. Its diverse range of amenities, which includes advanced fitness centers and study lounges, further emphasize the developers' understanding of modern student needs.
