MBK Rental Living Opens Leasing At Las Brisas Three Hundred Forty Unit Luxury Apartment Community In Santa Maria

MBK Rental Living has opened leasing at Las Brisas, a 340-unit luxury apartment community in Santa Maria, California. The property is now accepting applications and is open for move-ins.

"Las Brisas was designed with intention—bringing together the comforts of modern living with the natural beauty of the Santa Maria landscape," said Ken McCarren, President of MBK Rental Living. "Our goal is to create communities where residents feel inspired, can unwind, and build meaningful connections with their neighbors. Las Brisas embodies this vision throughout every aspect of the community, both inside the homes and across the shared spaces."

Units at Las Brisas include one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts ranging from 739 to 1,295 square feet. Each home features open floor plans, abundant natural light, designer finishes, modern appliances, and private patios or balconies.

Shared amenities are positioned to support resident lifestyle and community engagement. On-site offerings include a resort-style swimming pool, a 24-hour fitness center, communal gathering spaces, a co-working area, a dog spa with an adjacent dog park, playgrounds, and pocket parks dispersed throughout the property.

The community is developed under MBK Rental Living's With Our World sustainability program, which integrates high-performance design and healthier materials. Specified elements include EV charging stations, energy-efficient LED lighting, Energy Star appliances, low or no VOC materials, bicycle racks, and a weekly recycling program.

Las Brisas is located in southern Santa Barbara County with access to shopping, dining, golf, sports facilities, and regional outdoor recreation. Proximity to US-101 and SR-135 connects residents to nearby beaches and wineries. Santa Maria's local economy includes aerospace, communications, R&D, energy, military, and manufacturing employers.

"We experienced strong momentum in Santa Maria with Azure, a community we developed in 2020 and successfully sold in 2023," McCarren said. "That success underscored the continued demand for distinguished rental living options that serve families, young professionals, and residents seeking a high‑quality living experience. With Las Brisas, we're proud to continue contributing to the growth and vitality of this thriving community."

MBK Rental Living is also leasing other California communities, including Vida in Morgan Hill, The Haven in Petaluma, Ona in Natomas in partnership with Hines, Solana in Duarte, and Zia in Anaheim. Two additional communities, Vintage Farms in Murrieta and The Sanctuary in Thousand Oaks, are scheduled to begin leasing in 2026.

Multifamily Leadership notes Las Brisas as an example of contemporary multifamily development that pairs resident-focused amenities with sustainability measures, reflecting ongoing industry priorities in design, operations, and community integration.
