The NRP Group Breaks Ground on Eastfield Village, a Landmark Community in Johnston County NC

In a significant development for North Carolina's burgeoning housing market, The NRP Group has announced the financial closing and commencement of Eastfield Village in Selma, Johnston County. This new 348-unit multifamily community represents the company's inaugural foray into what is recognized as the state's fastest-growing submarket.

Eastfield Village is a key project, engineered with the aim of providing premium living spaces paired with thoughtful amenities to match the rising tide of Johnston County's economic expansion. Vice President of Development at The NRP Group, Owen Langston, emphasized the importance of the initiative, "Eastfield Village is designed for the hard-working people who are powering Johnston County's tremendous growth. As the first new large-scale multifamily community of its kind here in many years, it will fill an important gap in the housing market." Langston highlighted the development's symbiosis with local progress, drawing attention to its strategic location, modern housing choices, and potential for enhancing residents' quality of life by easing commutes and creating more family and community time.

Eastfield Village's strategic location within a larger, diversified mix of utilities fortifies its attractiveness. The broader master plan, Eastfield, orchestrated by AdVenture Development, encompasses a multifaceted 435-acre mix of business parks, medical facilities, retail establishments including a Regional Target, three hotels, and various housing options.

Kevin Dougherty, President of AdVenture Development, acknowledged the significance of the multidimensional venture: "This marks an important milestone in our master-planned development, bringing the multifamily residential component of Eastfield to fruition. We welcome The NRP Group to Johnston County and we look forward to welcoming all our new residents to live, work and play at Eastfield."

Scheduled for initial occupancy by late 2026, the development is tactically positioned to connect residents seamlessly to the Research Triangle and major employers in the area. The design caters to the demographic ranging from working professionals to growing families, providing modern, functional living spaces. Its amenities are crafted to foster a balance between recreation and convenience, proposing a blend of outdoor engagement and community interaction through features like a resort-style pool, a fitness center, and spaces for personal and communal activities, integrating effortlessly into the lifestyle ecosystem envisaged by the Eastfield master plan.

Eastfield Village's groundbreaking step in August and ongoing construction reflect a concerted effort towards fulfilling a vision for thoughtful and community-centric progression in Johnston County. With the completion slated for Q4 2027, this pivotal project is set to become a cornerstone for residential living in North Carolina's evolving landscape.
